BREATHWORK

WHY BREATHWORK

WORKS

What is Breathwork?

Breathing this way to a very thought out soundscape mixed by myself can lead you to ultimate highs and a blissful ecstasy, unblock old stagnant trapped energy, bring emotions to the surface and leaving you feeling so grateful, so loved and so at peace.

It’s changed my life and it can yours too !

Breathwork could refer to any conscious breathing practice including mindful breathing, yoga, tai chi, and qi gong. However, breathwork commonly refers to a specific practice of “Conscious Connected Breathwork” of which there are many approaches. The core technique itself is part of our human heritage and is found across cultures under different names over time.

Conscious Connected Breathwork is a circular breath technique. This means that inhalations are immediately followed by exhalations without pause. When maintained for upwards of an hour, Conscious Connected Breathwork brings on non-ordinary states of consciousness and can lead to profound experiences of healing.

What are the benefits of Breathwork?

  • INCREASES FOCUS & STRENGTHENS INTUITION:
More oxygen to the brain will help in achieving clarity, productivity & increased creativity. It can also enable us to quiet our busy mind, & listen inward to hear our intuition.

  • REDUCES STRESS, INCREASES EMOTIONAL BALANCE:
When stress enters your life, your brain releases the stress hormone cortisol. Deep breathing will lower your heart rate, more oxygen will enter your bloodstream & communicate with the brain to shift into relaxation.

  • CALMS AND GROUNDS THE CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM:
The breath is linked to your nervous systems. The parasympathetic will bring us to a relaxed state of mind. However, here we first breathe into our sympathetic nervous system that enables us to release stuck energy before we restore.

  • PROMOTES DEEP RELAXATION:
The rythm and depth of our breath communicates with our brain as well as our nervous system shifting it from fight & flight to rest & digest. When we breathe consciously and calm, the mind slows down too.

  • RELIEFS ANXIETY:
Built up emotional stress and an overstimulated nervous system in the body can cause anxiety, depression or a very controlling mind. Breathwork helps to calm the nervous system and let go of emotional stress.

  • FEELINGS OF WHOLENESS, HAPPINESS AND COURAGE:
Breathwork has been shown to have a significant effect on our mood. Many practice to increase their feelings of joy and happiness. Breathing exercises have shown to be effective in promoting positive thinking, self-love, self-esteem and confidence.

What to expect in a Breathwork Group Session?

During a breathwork session you engage in a specific breathing technique that involves deep and rhythmic breaths while lying on your back. As you breathe in a continuous and conscious manner, you may experience various physical, mental, and emotional sensations.

  • Physically, you may notice an increase in oxygen intake, which can lead to feelings of lightness or tingling sensations.

  • Mentally, conscious connected breathwork can induce a state of focused attention and clarity. It may help quiet the mind, allowing you to let go of racing thoughts and enter a more meditative state.

  • Emotionally, breathwork sessions can bring up a range of feelings. It is common to experience a release of stored emotions or memories. You may feel a sense of joy, encounter moments of sadness or even temporary discomfort. These emotional experiences are considered part of the healing process and can lead to a greater sense of emotional well-being.

My breathwork sessions offer an opportunity for self-exploration, relaxation or transformation. It is important to approach these sessions with an open mind and a willingness to embrace whatever experiences arise.
